Typistic records every key press and release while you type, then works out which finger motions slow you down or trip you up, and builds practice drills out of words that exercise exactly those motions.

Keystroke-level analysis

Timing between every pair of keys, how long each key is held, and how much your key presses overlap. See your slowest letter pairs replayed on a keyboard, finger by finger.

Drills for your weak spots

A per-typist model scores motions like same-finger jumps, ring-finger reaches and outward rolls, then fills a 30-second test with words that train the ones costing you most.

Private by design

No account and no server. Everything is stored in a SQLite database inside your browser, and you can export it at any time.

Any layout

Analysis is based on physical key positions, so it works the same on QWERTY, Dvorak, Colemak or your own layout.

FAQ

Is it free?: Yes. There is nothing to sign up for.
How long before the weak-spot drills work?: Two or three 30-second tests give the model enough transitions to start ranking your weak spots. It sharpens as you keep typing.
Can I race a friend?: Yes. After a test, copy the challenge link: anyone who opens it gets exactly the same words.
Where is my data?: In your browser only (Origin Private File System). Clearing site data deletes it, so export it from the Data page if you want a backup.
